Originally I planned to see Michael Ammar’s lecture today (the same as Jeki Yoo yesterday), but he (and Jeki) are lecturing at my club (Leicester Magic Circle) this year. This allowed more free time to be social and check out the dealers.
While wandering around, I was able to catch up with industry friends and also introduce myself and say hello to the amazing Jonathan Goodwin, Dom Chambers and Jeki Yoo.
I managed to get copies of a few books which were all signed. Firstly, the new Craig Petty book that he and Ryland signed for me called “Absolute Madness.” It was a pleasure talking to Craig as I follow his “Magic TV”. This weekend, I spoke to Craig and Ryland several times and I have previously chatted to Craig briefly at a couple of other conventions/events. This time I got some longer opportunities and I can honestly say he is the nicest and most approachable person. “Don’t believe the hype” as he is actually very humble and like he says on “Magic TV” just say hello if you want to speak to him. Just don’t be offended if he has to move on and respect his schedule, he is one of the busiest stars at BMC and has schedules to appear at set times at multiple stands to demo. Thank you to both Craig and Ryland.
Next, I caught up with my mate Vinny Sagoo who has published “New Horizons” which is sold at Neo Magic and friend Chris Dugdale to pick up his book “Evolution”. I am looking forward to reading these books and reviewing them and I will definitely be reading them on the train tomorrow. Both of these authors/magicians are very accomplished and both support this site. Read a bit more about Chris later in this post and don’t forget to check out the Neo Magic page on this site.
Lecture-wise, I decided to go to the Martin Hart lecture that also features Emily Robinson-Hardy about the perfect ACAAN. Emily performing her perfect ACAAN for the very last time live. Thank god I went to this lecture and saw that last performance.

After a little downtime mid-afternoon, I am refreshed and ready for the evening shows. I cannot wait to see Rick Thomas and his Mansion of Dreams show from Las Vegas. And of course, I am also watching Chris Dugdale in action which is also going to be amazing after waiting years to see his show live. Definitely I will be queuing up early to make sure I get in and don’t miss the opportunity. I will post about that experience later!
Chris has always been very supportive of the Magic Seats website (interviews and providing products for reviews), and it has been lovely to finally meet him in person rather than just messaging this weekend. His lecture was also excellent on Friday.
