My Week In Magic - Brand New Shows For 2022/23

I’ve been lucky to view many excellent shows in 2022 and I have been able to watch artists like Magical Bones and Richard Jones perform the shows that they have been touring for the last few years.

The good news is that many artists are now launching new shows or revised versions of existing shows that have toured.

Ben Hart is performing a revised version of his “Wonder” show this year in August at the Edinburgh Fringe. I was lucky to see the original show.

Magical Bones is also running his new show "Soulful Magic" at the Fringe, and Richard Jones is also starting a new touring show “An Evening Of Magic” from July.

This week, it has also been announced that "Wonderville" is returning to the West End this Summer.

So lets take a look at these new shows...

Magical Bones finished his "Black Magic" tour earlier this year. A show that he has performed for the last few years. He did tease a new show would be incoming and for those visiting the Fringe this year, I think you will need to get in quick.

Running from the 3rd of August to the 28th of August. Poster has details below.

While I will not be able to get to the Fringe myself, I will be keeping a close eye on this show and future announcements. Really want to see this show on tour.

Hopefully we will learn a little more about this new show soon.

Next up, Richard Jones also completed his "Escape" tour this year with the promise of a new show that would be starting soon. For those living near Camberley, you do not have long to wait until you can see the new show - "An Evening Of Magic".

So far 15 dates have been announced for this tour with the Richard Jones website promising more dates. As on sale, I have already purchased my tickets and I also managed to get VIP seats. Guaranteed excellent view!

For any magic fans, the VIP tickets for his shows include benefits like front row seating, meet and greet, photo and some additional magic pre show. Also a signed poster. These tickets are limited so you have to get in quick.

The Camberley show is on Friday the 15th of July. Take a look at the link below for all the dates.

While this article has mainly featured touring theatre shows and reference to some new/revised shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, news broke this week that "Wonderville" will be back in the West End. It had a successful run last year over the Summer with many amazing acts.

This year it will be at a at a new location near Piccadilly Circus and I will definitely be buying tickets for this. I so wanted to go last year but avoided due to Covid.

The line up has not been announced yet but this will be special. I will be keeping an eye on news to go and see this. I will of course share updates about this show as and when they get announced.

If you think I have missed any major new shows, please let me know.

I should also note that ongoing tours that have already been running and on sale for some time such as Darren Brown are still available to book. For this post, I am just focussing in the new/revised.

Have a good weekend and if you buy tickets for any of these shows, do comment!

Have a good one.

Martin
