The Magic Bar Live - Llandudno Review

Llandudno, now my favourite seaside resort in Wales and the UK, is a traditional and thriving seaside town with a Victorian charm. Unlike other seaside towns, it’s not overly commercial or tacky, and it offers a variety of entertainment.

One such amazing venue is “The Magic Bar Live,” conveniently located near the pier and sea. Nestled by the shops, it’s an excellent restaurant venue for entertainment shows, excellent hospitality, and food. While it’s magic-themed, the entertainment events range from magic, comedy, circus and music. Something for everyone.

This family-run magic bar is a must-visit for magic enthusiasts. It’s one of only a few magic bars in the UK that hosts their own magic events, making it a unique and exciting experience.

The venue offers a wide range of seating indoors, so you can take in entertainment with your meal or drink. Seating is also available outside and the menu features breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, catering to all tastes. The bar is fully stocked with teas, coffees, soft drinks, alcohol, and cocktails, so you can relax and unwind before or after a meal/performances.

In addition to advertised events, the venue is also available for private bookings. My visit was for a private magic event, and I was able to see some of the talented house magicians at work, including Oliver Bell and Chris Williams. Jay Gatling, another regular performer at the venue, was also on stage that day, and his show was absolutely fantastic.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and many of them are also magicians. This adds to the overall charm of the venue, as you can learn about magic and witness some incredible performances.

The venue is a decent size and it’s one of the larger magic bars that I’ve visited. There’s plenty of room, and the cabaret-style seating in the venue ensures you will get a good view of the stage, which is fully supported with excellent lighting, audio and visuals. The tables also have close-up mats, making it a great place to witness magic up close and personal. No doubt the venue is likely able to change seating arrangements depending on the requirements.

The facilities are very clean, and during my visit, we were treated to amazing hot and cold food choices. The menu is available all day and it is no wonder that this venue has a 5-star rating on TripAdvisor for the excellent food (and entertainment). Others who I spoke to who had ordered burgers and other food choices were impressed.

Check out the venue’s website for all their ticketed events, which are advertised for the entire year ahead. There are magic and other events available, and I highly recommend a visit if you’re next in Llandudno. Thank you to The Magic Bar Live for a fantastic weekend while I visited.
