Amanda Nepo Selfie

I attended Amanda's lecture at BMC 23. My wild card lecture if you like.
​
Though I had not previously heard of Amanda, I looked her up and could see her Penn & Teller performance and I was really impressed.
​
The lecture was about the creative process to write effects. A great lecture and I was able to buy one of her effects that she talked through the creative process to design.
​
Being a bit of a collector, it was excellent to get a signed effect designed by Amanda.
​

Ben Hart Selfie
​
I had the opportunity to attend Ben Hart's "Wonder" tour. Thanks to Covid, I had to wait a few years but it was worth it.
​
As quite a large audience at the show in Leicester, there was no official meet and greet. Thankfully, due to a fellow LMN member (Shae Gathercole, pictured below), he was able to help with some arrangements. After the show (about 30 mins later), we were able to meet Ben briefly and say hello.
​
I was also able to gain a signed playing card and get my book signed.

Ben Hanlin Selfie

Prior to Bens performance at the Edinburgh Fringe of 2018, he advertised a workshop at the Corby Cube. While a show with Ben performing, it was more relaxed. Ben talking though his ideas and explaining that the workshop allowed him to gauge audience reaction, and deciding what would make his show.
​
A year later, my wife and daughter were able to see the "50" show in Corby. Unfortunately I was unable to join but was lucky to receive a private video from Ben, wishing me well. A great video.

Billy Kidd Selfie

Billy is an amazing talent. I was lucky to get a selfie as I think it is quite hard to find Billy at conventions.
​
She is an amazing artist who performs at her own theatre in Bath. I hope to see her perform live at some point. Last time I was in bath, unfortunately, Billy was away and not performing.
​
Hopefully I will get to see her perform very soon.
​

Chris Cross Selfie

Chris is not only known for being a magician and magic enthusiast, he is a dealer as well. He runs his Enchanted Rabbit Magic emporium and often attends dealer events.
​
I have bought a few items off Chris and keep an eye on his stock. He sells some very interesting items and signed collectables.
​
Chris is known as the Great Magician of the North, coming from Newcastle,. Known for making appearances on TV and performing with the best in the business which includes Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee.
​

Craig Petty Selfie

Craig is a magicians magician, famed within the community for his blogs and effects.
I was able to grab a quick selfie. What I did not realise was that Craig was on a phone call. Hard to tell sometimes with AirPods these days. He was fab though and didn't mind the interruption.

Elliot Bibby Selfie

It was great to finally meet Elliot who has supported this website since the beginning and provided an early interview.
Elliot was actually in the dealer hall and it was good to see him so busy with lots of interest in his new effects that he was demonstrating.
I have followed Elliot and his career for a few years now and it is great to see him doing so well. I was also able to review one of his Zoom shows from a few years back.
Seizing the opportunity to say hello, I was also able to buy one of Elliot's new effects and get it signed. A nice edition to my collection.
​
Hopefully I will get to see him perform live in a show very soon.

While Elizabeth normally performs the show with Craig Christian, Elizabeth performed this show solo. Great mentalism and some stage magic.

I have had the opportunity to meet Fay Presto on a number of occasions at a famous magic club in London and then at BMC.
​
Always interesting to chat to Fay who is honest in her opinions. A true professional who is very well known.

"High Jinx" Photo

At the end of the "High Jinx" show, my daughter and I were able to stay behind and get a photo with the cast.
​
As well as the "High Jinx" dancers, the photo also features magician Michael and Tamsyn Jordan.
​
A very enjoyable show.

Fay Presto Selfie 2

After having quite a few opportunities to meet and chat to Fay over the last year or so, I was finally able to see her lecture at The Magic Circle.
Previously when I was due to see her lecture, my train was late and I missed most of the event. This time, I had a good seat. Fay worked through her table routine with humour and amazing magic.
​
An enjoyable experience and I was able to buy the lecture notes. A really good read as it is also auto-biographical. My copy also being signed to me which is fab and extra special.
​
I had to get another selfie with Fay as her costume was amazing and just had to be seen to be believed. Real show business glamour. Thanks as always to Fay for her time.

Jay & Joss Selfie

The night before meeting Jay & Joss, I was able to see them perform their "Imagination" show at BMC. A really amazing show which attracted a very large crowd. I love stage magic and big illusions, Jay & Joss are masters of this.
​
I was able to say hello to Jay & Joss within the dealer halls of BMC. The interview that they did for the site has brought a lot of traffic to the site and it has been very popular.
​
It was lovely to get to meet them in person and chat. Hopefully we will be able to organise a catch up interview as they have been very busy.

Meeting these two was possible the highlight of my selfies with artists at BMC.
​
Had a really good chat as I have followed them both and watched Joel M with his various magic shows. And of course, I have a signed book.
​
Great to see them both doing so well and of course Joel M, now a Blue Peter presenter.
​

Jamie Allan Selfie

I have always followed Jamie Allan, the iMagician and his work. As he works mainly overseas, it is difficult to see him perform in the UK.
I was able to meet Jamie when purchasing a copy of his new book "Everything". I managed to set a signed first edition with certificate. And while collecting the book, I was able to get a selfie.
An interesting performer who I would watch his iMagician live on TV. During the BMC, I was able to watch his lecture as well which was really enlightening.

Jamie Raven Selfie

The Jamie Raven "Making Magic" theatre show was an amazing show.
​
After the performance, many held back to meet Jamie and have their photos taken.
​
I still have some of the envelopes and pictures handed to all audience members so that you could participate in part of the show.
​
With Jamie planning on touring again in 2021 as part of "Illusion: Impossible", I am hoping to get to see the new show.
​

John Archer Selfie

I love comedy magic, so to finally see John Archer perform and meet him, it was amazing. I was really pleased with this photo as it came out really well.
​
On the night, I was front row centre and had the pleasure of being picked on by John. Thankfully I had a meet and greet ticket, and the organisers were able to help me meet John during the interval at the stage door.
​
A memorable moment and as part of the act, I even gained a John Archer blow up dog and signed playing card!
​

Joel Dickinson Selfie

When I met Joel, he was running a "Summer of Circus" at Resorts World in Birmingham for chilldren.
​
If I am honest, I didn't actually know who he was at the time. However, the circus and magic show was amazing, even if aimed at kids.
​
Thankfully I approached at the end and got a selfie. I now realise that even then, he was quite well know at least within circles of magicians. Though a performer, he of course publishes his own effects as a creator with his own online magic shop.
​

Katherine is the Vice President of the Magic Circle. I had previously met Katherine, who kindly signed a playing card for me.
​
This time, I was able to join her for a tour of the Magic Circle. Her knowledge of magic is impressive and she showed us some of the artefacts held in the building. The tour consisting of the Levant room and museum.
​
Katherine kindly obliged for me to have a photo with her.
​
Hopefully at some point in the future I will get to see her perform.
​

Lee made an appearance on the Penn & Teller: Fool us show when it was recorded in the UK.
​
Lee is a member of the council within The Magic Circle. I previously had the opportunity to chat to Lee about a year ago and then saw him at this years TMC convention.
​
I grabbed the opportunity to have a selfie and had a laugh with him. I also managed to get a signed playing card which was really nice of him.
​
Another performer that I hope to see entertain live at some point.

Lewis Fuller Selfie

While eating lunch at the Wesley Hotel in London, by chance I noticed Lewis Fuller who was attending the same convention as me. Lewis appeared on this years BGT with his singing and magic act.
​
As well as the selfie, I was able to gain a signed playing card for my collection which is written to me with a nice message.
​
Lewis was with a few other magicians who I also got to speak with.
​
After his BGT exposure, I am sure that big things are ahead for Lewis.
​

Magic Singh Selfie

I have been a fan of magic Singh, watching him on Tik Tok, attending his zoom show and buying signed playing cards from him in the past.
​
I was excited to know that I was going to his lecture. But I just happened to meet him prior to that talk and gain a selfie.
​
The lecture was amazing and Magic Singh was interviewed about social media. I was also able to ask a question afterwards.
​
To finish the day in style, Magic Singh also performed at the Gala show and as in a theatre, he focused on mentalism.
​

Magical Bones Photo

After waiting a couple of years to see magical Bones, I was finally able to go and see his show "Black Magic".
I had previously seen him perform online for a private virtual show. Seeing him perform stage magic in person was amazing.
​
Like many magicians, Bones took the opportunity to meet his audience after the show. Lots of photo and selfie opportunities. A memorable night.

Mandy Davis

I am aware of Mandy due to all her work with The Magic Circle. She has of course achieved a lot in magic and has worked with Fay Presto, Mandy Muden and many others.
​
A high ranking member of TMC with many posts and responsibilities. Serving on the council, various committees and is also a member of the inner magic circle with gold star for performance.
​
Thank you Mandy for making a magic fan very happy.

This is my favorite photo of myself with an artist.
​
I booked to see Mandy perform with my wife and we were not expecting to see Mandy so we could chat. We were lucky to bump into her in the foyer and were able to have a few minute with her. Very nice lady.
​
A few years ago, I was due to see her solo tour. When I missed it, she kindly sent a video to me.

Magic Seats On stage with Troy
​
​
While I was very familiar with Troy as an artist and I was aware of his fame and TV show, I actually had never seen him perform.
​
I have always been keen to get on stage and my moment finally came. Troy was looking for a volunteer to help monitor the great needle swallowing trick.
​
And what a stage to help on, the magic circle stage which had an audience full of the most famous magicians in the land. What an experience.
​
My moment was possibly 3 to 5 minutes on stage, checking the needles while the illusion took place.
​
Thank you Troy. It was great to meet you and help you during your act.

Megan Swann Selfie

Megan is the first woman to hold the position of President of The Magic Circle. Katherine Rhodes acting as her VP.
​
Megan started in the young magicians club, then TMC before working her way through the ranks. Megan is an environmental magician, helping educate on green matters and combines her act with ballet/dance.
​
Megan previously signed a playing card for me, so I was pleased to get the selfie this time.
​
I hope to have the opportunity to see her perform at some point in the future.

Michael J Fitch Selfie

Michael has made many TV appearances and is a well known magician/entertainer. Particularly popular within the corporate and weddings market. Also known for his ability to present and MC events.
​
A member of TMC inner magic circle and council. Also working as a resident magician at Gordon Ramsay restaurants.
​
An all round entertainer who can run children's parties, family entertainment and more.
​
It was a pleasure to meet Michael as he is often the voice for TMC public events.

Morgan and West Selfie

Morgan and West were performing in our home town.
​
At the time, I did not know that they were performing. I was looking for something to do with Amelia and discovered the show within hours of it happening.
​
It was an enjoyable performance and we were the first to get a selfie with them after the show.
​
I am due to watch the again soon online in Febrauary 2021. A pro lecture which should be enjoyable.

As a member of the "Chicks n Tricks" female group of magicians, I knew of Natalia's work as a talented magician and ventriloquist. Working corporate bookings and as Nutty Natty Magic for children's bookings.

Natalia also works with Jamie Allan and I followed them when they broadcast iMagician online a few years back with Adam Hepenstall.

A chance meeting, so I had to grab a selfie opportunity for my collection.
​
Meet and Greet packages had been on sale at the venue. I considered buying but as after the show, would have placed difficulties on the logistics of getting home. A fantastic memory.

Prior to the show, we were picking up tickets for the show on Friday the 13th of September. Richard was in the foyer and we were luck that he performed for Amelia personally. A great memory.

I was able to get a VIP ticket and had an opportunity to talk with Richard prior to the show start and quickly catch up.
​
The VIP experience included a signed poster and 30 minutes of close up magic.

I have worked with Romany for the Magic Seats website. Previously, she provided an interview and I was able to do a book review.
Prior to the show, I had an opportunity to meet Romany for the first time. He show is amazing and was so funny. Very enjoyable.
Later that weekend I was also able to watch Romany being interviewed about her career.
The show that I attended was so popular, Romany gained a standing ovation. Absolutely brilliant.

What an opportunity this was at BMC. Richard and Stephen were having a chat and I was able to get a selfie with both.

Very nice chaps and how patient they are getting asked for selfies all the time. Richard I have seen perform with Xtreme Magic, and happened to be able to chat with him the night before.

Stephen of course, everyone knows and most people remember he is off course a magician as well as our UK quiz king on TV.

The Witch Selfie

This was a surprise to bump into the witch. She appeared during the Friday night gala show for BMC 2023.
A surprise visit onto the stage to scare as all. Then later, she was in the main entrance.
I have also managed to get a signed photo that is on display in my office.
Whoever you are Witch, you are an amazing performer.
